The Future of Work: Being Supervisor to your AI Employee

Written by Team Evie | Feb 10, 2021

Whether you’re in a more traditional organization or one that functions on a flat structure, everyone will need to supervise in some way or another. With the advent of AI employees, what would this look like?

The value AI employee developers hope to bring to its human users is the visibility, tracking and intervening features that will bring you the ease from a supervising perspective. This gives you security knowing that you can check in that things are operating smoothly, and that you always have the ability to take over whenever you feel is necessary.

That’s exactly what we’ve done for Evie with the Recruitment Control Centre, and will continue to improve on as we expand Evie’s capabilities. Here are some of the key benefits:

  1. Centralized visibility
  2. Actionable details
  3. Choosing your level of involvement

1. Centralized Visibility

From the Recruitment Control Centre, recruiters will be able to track the progress of every candidate for all active scheduling requests. So whether candidates are waiting for some new time options, have yet to respond, or have confirmed a time, recruiters will be able to track these statuses.

Other important details are also included such as the interview format (e.g. Microsoft Teams or in-person and who the interviewers are. Recruiters can also search for specific interview requests whenever necessary.

2. Actionable Details

Sometimes, recruiters might need to step in to change the status of an interview.

For example, a candidate calls the recruiter to inform them that they’d like to withdraw from their confirmed interview. Recruiters can then proceed to the dashboard to cancel the interview with a simple click of a button.

Allowing recruiters to step in at any point in the scheduling process gives them full control and reassurance that the scheduling operations will be appropriately managed.

3. Choosing Your Level of Involvement

Evie will actively communicate with you to keep you up-to-date with everything that’s going on with the coordination work.

While recruiters can visit the dashboard anytime, Evie also delivers a daily status report with the same information straight to your inbox every morning. This saves you the time and steps to go to the dashboard, while providing the same, rich overview.

Another way Evie keeps you in the loop is by having you on the cc through all email communication with interviewers and candidates.

Some like the involvement, while others don’t. If you are part of the latter, you can opt out of the daily progress reports and cc’ing on all email communication, and simply manage through the dashboard.

Working toward a Holistic Paradigm between Humans & AI Employees

Just like it will take time to get to know a new employee, the same goes for the uptake of AI employees across different functions. The goal is to equip humans with the right tools so that they have more time to focus on the work that matters and that require the human touch. This digital transformation will pave the way to break down silos—that will allow more cross functional work and more co-creation to solve problems.
